Working with the Algorithm: Turning Guesswork into a Data-Driven Streaming Strategy

How VERO Music replaced algorithmic guesswork with a targeted release strategy on Thunder Jackson's album campaign.

A strong creative vision is not a strategy. VERO Music had one for Thunder Jackson's album Hello Stranger, but no clear view of how Spotify's recommender system actually read the music, which listener segments drove real traction, or where paid budget belonged.

This case study follows the campaign from diagnosis to execution: mapping the artist's algorithmic profile, discovering that the existing audience segments no longer matched the new material, rebuilding the targeting around the communities that did, and turning those segments into concrete ad definitions for Meta, YouTube and Spotify.

Relevant if you run release campaigns and suspect your paid spend and your algorithmic performance are working on separate tracks.
